Our Mission
At the Empowered Voice Initiative, we believe that everyone deserves access to education and technology, no matter their background or life experiences. Our mission is to support underrepresented voices by funding events, workshops, resources, and opportunities in various forms of media.
We aim to make education and technology more accessible for marginalized communities, empowering them to tell their own stories, advocate for their needs, and participate fully in society. By providing support for organizations and individuals working to promote equity and inclusion, we hope to create a more just and equitable world for all.
Through our work, we strive to amplify diverse perspectives and promote understanding across communities. We believe that by lifting up underrepresented voices, we can create a more vibrant and resilient society for everyone.
Our Story
In 2023, a group of passionate individuals came together with a shared goal: to create a world where we have diverse stories, points of view, news and information available from a wide range of different people. They set out to create opportunnities for all underrepresented voices to have access to education and technology, and could use these tools to share their stories and messages with the world. This vision led to the founding of the Empowered Voice Initiative (EVI).
The founder of EVI, Jessica Kupferman, recognized that many marginalized communities face significant barriers to accessing education and technology, which can limit their ability to participate fully in society and share their voices with the world. She saw a need for an organization that could provide support and resources to these communities, helping to break down these barriers and create a more just and equitable world.
Who We Are
We are still comprised of a strong team of content creators, podcasterts, storytellers, marketers, event planners, artists, designers, speakers, and audio experts. We are passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion and want to partner with other organizations and corporations that share our values.
